Entrepreneur to speak during Sexual Assault Awareness month

In honor of April’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Cara Brookins, known as “the mom who built her own house using YouTube tutorials,” will speak at UA Little Rock at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2018, in Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall.

Brookins will speak to the campus and community regarding her experiences including becoming an entrepreneur as a single mother. Her story of struggle and success speaks to how someone can overcome abusive relationships.
