Graduation Requirements

Graduating from the MPA program requires the successful completion of 36 credit hours, i.e., 21 credit hours of core courses and 15 hours of elective courses. A student must have at least a 3.0 GPA in all graduate coursework in order to graduate.

Students should update their MPA Student Advising and Planning Form each semester to track their progress in the program. Each student’s progress in the program is assessed midway by the MPA Coordinator. Students are eligible for graduation at the successful completion of the 36-credit hour program with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

Students must apply online for graduation through their BOSS account at the beginning of their final semester, even if they are not participating in the formal commencement ceremony held by the University.
