Students, Council to Talk Generational Diversity

UALR’s Diversity Council will host our their second “Brown Bag Lunch and Learn” event Thursday, March 7, from noon – 1:00 pm. in room G of the Donaghey Student Center.

The featured speaker is Gwendolyn Middleton,assistant director of the McNair Scholars Program. She will discuss “Generational Diversity in Today’s Workplace.”

The presentation will discuss the generational make-up of today’s workplace. The differences and commonalities that exist between the Baby Boomers, Generation X (The Busters), Generation Y (The Millennials) and Generation Z (the Digitals) will be discussed.

Understanding differences that may exist will open discussion on how members of each group can begin to understand the other groups and form a more cohesive and tolerant work environment.

All future Lunch and Learn events will take place the first Thursday of each month and will feature presentations from faculty, staff, and students from across campus.
