Save the Date: Saturday, November 7, 2015

The Central Arkansas Chapter of the National Association of Black Social Workers (NABSW) and the Arkansas Association of Black Psychology Professionals (AABPP) will present “The Effect of Racism: A Call for Reconciliation and Need to Build a More Inclusive Community” on Saturday, November 7, 2015, from 8:30 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. (lunch will be provided), at Philander Smith College’s Kendall Center.

Featured panelists are:

Dr. John Kirk, Donaghey Distinguished Professor of History and director of UALR’s Institute on Race and Ethnicity

Dr. Patricia Newton, Psychiatrist and author of “Post Traumatic Slavery Disorder.”

Dr. Robert L. Williams, Professor Emeritus of Psychology and author of “Racism Learned at an Early Age”

Dr. Ruby Burgess, Retired Educator and Higher Education Administrator

Dr. Terrence Roberts, Psychologist, member of the Little Rock Nine and author of “Lessons from Little Rock”

Ms. Pamela Smith, Moderator
