On October 25, Dr. Angela Davis spoke to a diverse audience about social issues, especially issues of racial disparities in incarceration at a lecture presented by the UALR’s William G. Cooper Jr. Honors Program in English in association with the UALR Institute on Race and Ethnicity and the UALR Office of Campus Life. Two graduate students from the UALR Master of Arts in Public History Program, Adrienne McGill and Sarah Riva, interviewed those waiting to be admitted to the lecture. McGill and Riva asked each person one question:
“Angela Davis’ latest book is titled “The Meaning of Freedom;”what does freedom mean to you?”
