Shakespeare Scene Festival

The Shakespeare Scene Festival celebrates learning through Shakespeare studies on UA Little Rock  campus.

To protect the well-being of our community, the festivities scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, 2020 in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall have been canceled. Stay tuned for updates for potential rescheduling for after April 30, 2020.

Our original 2020 program showcased four schools  sharing their own adaptations of Shakespeare, with several more joining us in the audience. Between performances, UA Little Rock faculty and alumni planned to provide theatre workshops on staging, music, and costuming.

Check out our planned schedule for the March 18 festival here!  (Cancelled.)

The Shakespeare Scene Festival (SSF) is a UA Little Rock event sponsored by the Departments of English and Theatre Arts and Dance. This festival’s main purpose is to provide teachers and students a venue for the performance of Shakespeare’s plays. A description of the SSF’s history, and pictures of past performances show that the SSF is not only educational, but also a great way to have fun!
