Brought to you by UA Little Rock MidSOUTH Internship Stipend Program

Use your education to help the children and families of Arkansas. UA Little Rock/MidSOUTH, through the School of Social Work and the Department of Human Services, Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS) invites you to apply for a child welfare stipend or non-stipend internship. Selected stipend track students will receive a total of $5,000 during the second semester of their internship.

The internship program prepares qualified applicants for a career in child welfare through experience supervising family visitations, shadowing case workers, and occasional interaction with program assistants and investigators. Students spend their 9 month internship learning the job of a case worker without the responsibility of a case load. Stipend-track students must sign an agreement to work for DCFS as a Family Service Worker for one year following graduation.
