Dr. Don Willis CV
Dr. Willis is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri at Columbia. He teaches Intro to Sociology, Urban Sociology, the Sociology Senior Capstone, and various seminar courses.
Dr. Willis’s research falls within three primary areas of sociological inquiry: 1) poverty and inequality; 2) the sociology of health and health disparities; and 3) youth and life course studies. Within these broad areas of interest, he studies topics such as food insecurity, mental health, and obesity. Consistent throughout his work is a critical eye towards the social patterning of life chances.
