Last spring the Ottenheimer Library and STaR launched the first Open Educational Resources (OER) Alternative Textbook Mini Grant. As a result of your interest, it was a great success and a second grant is available this year.
The grant provides monies to those departments whose faculty members use Open Educational Resources (OER) materials to provide quality cost-effective online learning content. Departments must use the grant to invest in OER materials or innovations.
Open Educational Resources Mini Grant Pre-Sessions
Mark your calendars and plan to join us as we meet for an early planning session. Here you’ll learn more about the benefits of OER, the grant application, guidelines, and we’ll be delighted to answer your questions and provide assistance as you explore your OER possibilities. The application deadline is March 30.
To be considered for the grant all materials must be uploaded to a Blackboard course shell by April 15, 2018.
If you have any questions about the OER Alternative Textbook Mini Grant, please contact Carol Macheak at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Upcoming Events: Open Education Week
Mark your calendars for Open Education Week, March 5 -9. We’ll celebrate with a week of free Open Educational Resources (OER) ideas, materials, and training to support your alternative textbook venture.
