2020-21 Annual Report – Charles W. Donaldson Scholars Academy

Mission

Donaldson Scholars aims to improve the educational achievement for students in grades 9-12, with special attention to African American students and others who are at risk of academic failures due to socioeconomic disadvantages or other factors. Our goals are to prepare students for success beyond high school, and eliminate the need for remediation while increasing high school and college graduation rates.

Summary Narrative

The Charles W. Donaldson Scholars Academy accepted its final cohort of students during the Fall 2020 semester.  Due to COVID-19, changes within leadership, and the completion of the student achievement portion of the desegregation lawsuit, CWDSA is wrapping down and will only support students who are currently enrolled at the three campuses (UA Little Rock, UA Pulaski Tech, and Philander Smith College) via a scholarship through 2024.
