What is a Peer Coach?

AARO Peer Coaches

  • The Student Peer Coach serves as an academic resource for students, providing guidance, support, and assistance to help them navigate college life successfully. They work directly with students to establish academic goals and identify potential barriers while fostering a supportive environment conducive to learning and personal growth.

What Are the Perks?

Each Peer Coach is paid $15 an hour.

What Do I Need to Apply?

  • Be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate UA Little Rock student for the 2024 – 2025 academic year
  • Have completed at least 30 hours at UA Little Rock
  • Good academic standing (GPA is 2.75 or above) and judicial standing at UA Little Rock

Additional Information

  • Peer Coaches must be available to work at least four hours per week during hours of operation from 9 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday, in the Learning Commons
  • Peer Coaching starts the second week of each semester and goes until Week 15 of the semester. (No peer coaching the first week of classes and the last week of classes and finals.)

Applications will be accepted through March 29, 2024.

Interviews and selection will be ongoing until all positions are filled for the Fall 2024 semester.
