On November 8th, colleges and universities throughout the nation will participate in the annual First-Generation College Celebration by recognizing the success of first-generation college students, faculty, staff, and alumni. UA Little Rock faculty and staff members can participate by requesting and displaying promotional materials which will be delivered to on-campus offices the last week of October. Complete this request form by Monday, October 25, 2021.

The Office of Student Retention Initiatives is dedicated to the success of First-Generation (First-Gen) college students. Being a First-Gen student means that your parents did not complete a 4-year college or university degree. UA Little Rock understands that First-Gen students may need additional support in their college journey. The Student Retention Initiatives team can connect First-Generation students to a variety of services including but not limited to peer mentoring, tutoring, and success coaching.

Students can sign up to meet with a member of the UALR Care Team if they need additional support by clicking here.
