The UA Little Rock Office of Study Abroad continues to make every effort to reduce the impact on students as they plan for future study abroad opportunities. We invite students to discuss future opportunities today as you plan for the future. We continue to advise for future programs, anticipating continued improvements to global travel circumstances. Some students are working even farther into the future as they map out their degree plan. We are doing virtual appointments, phone appointments, and socially distanced in person appointments. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 501.916.3376 to schedule a time to chat with study abroad staff.
Summer 2021 Study Abroad
As of April 1, 2021, UA Little Rock made the difficult decision to cancel all summer study, intern, and research abroad programs due to the ongoing global pandemic. The decision about fall 2021 study abroad programs will be made at a later date.
We are continually monitoring the situation and have representatives on the Coronavirus Emergency Response Team, and encourage all UA Little Rock students to check for COVID-19 updates on the university’s coronavirus website.
Future Student Travel
The university has not made an official decision whether to postpone or cancel fall 2021 study abroad, but as we consider future travel, we do so with great hope, but also realistic expectations. All travelers must understand that international travel and study abroad is very different now than before the pandemic. We recognize that there are limitation to answering specific questions here, but we encourage you to contact the study abroad office directly for any questions, or to arrange an advising appointment.
Programs scheduled for Fall 2021 are moving forward as planned, but may be subject to postponement or cancellation as the global COVID-19 situation evolves.
We can help you at any stage of the process, whether you are a prospective UA Little Rock student exploring your college choices, or a student with previous study abroad experience ready to plan your next adventure. Let’s talk!
