GLOBAL LANGUAGES COMMONS RESPONSE TO COVID-19
Beginning Monday, March 16, the Global Languages Commons will move online for the remainder of the semester. Our Peer Language Assistants (PLAs) will be available online via Zoom during their regularly scheduled hours (see schedule below) and via appointment outside these hours (see details below schedule). Individuals seeking peer assistance can assess the virtual meeting room by navigating to http://bit.ly/PeerLanguageAssistance.
Our Peer Language Assistants provide a variety of language-based services for students, faculty, staff, and the community. Our PLAs provide free, drop-in tutoring for students, including one-on-one conversation and pronunciation practice. Individuals coming for tutoring or practice should prepare specific questions and/or topics they would like to cover. PLAs can help students with topics covered on homework assignments, but they may not look over homework for correctness.
