Bending Towards Justice Featuring Dr. John Kirk (Registration Required)

November 17, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Please join us for a hybrid presentation featuring Dr. John A. Kirk, George W. Donaghey Distinguished Professor of History at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and author of several books on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Central High Crisis, and the modern civil rights movement. Dr. Kirk will discuss voting rights from 1890 to the present. How have voting rights changed during the history of our state and nation? Who were the eligible voters who shaped our laws and governing ideals? Who were the groups left on the sidelines as a result of voting rights changes?

This lecture will be held in person at the Clinton Presidential Library Education room and remotely via Zoom. Registration is required for both events.
