Fall Step Challenge: A Metro Trail A Day

Fall is in full swing! In addition to our Fab-tastic Fall fitness classes, we have a new step challenge and registration is open now. Let’s add some spice to a popular activity by aiming to walk A Metro Trail A Day from Oct. 10 to Nov. 18. The goal is to get enough steps per day to walk selected trails in the Little Rock metropolitan area. Your step goals will approximate the distance of a trail each week in the greater Little Rock area, beginning with 2,000 steps per day the first week and progressing to 8,000 steps per day by the end of the challenge.

Each week, you will receive a reminder to report your steps along with information about the week’s trail. There will be weekly prize drawings for the people who report their steps each week, culminating with a grand prize drawing at the end of the program. Thanks to our partnership with the Office of Counseling Services, the first 50 people who REPORT their steps will receive a limited edition t-shirt!

This free program is open to all current UA Little Rock students, faculty, and staff. If you are interested in participating, please register using the link below.
