Award-winning artist Sonya Clark has had her work exhibited in over 350 museums and galleries in the Americas, Africa, Europe, and Australia. She is the recipient of a United States Artists Fellowship, a Pollock Krasner award, the 1858 Prize, an Art Prize Grand Jurors Awards, and an Anonymous Was a Woman Award. Most recently, she was the inaugural recipient of the Black Rock Senegal Residency Fellowship. Currently, she is a professor of Art at Amherst College and has her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art.
