Legislating Against Hate: A Conversation on Proposed Hate Crime Legislation in Arkansas

October 29 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

This event is a virtual panel where the proposed Arkansas Hate Crime Legislation will be discussed by members of the Arkansas legislature, a representative from the Human Rights Campaign, an expert in the field of Constitutional Law, and a representative from the Mosaic Templars Museum who will speak on the historical impact of hate-based crime in Arkansas. Arkansas is one of only three states that lacks a Hate Crime statute. There is a bi-partisan push to remedy this in the next legislative session. Hosted by the OutLaw Legal Society and Black Law Students Association student chapters at the William H. Bowen School of Law.
