April 7 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free

Join Dr. Daniel Littlefield, the director of the Sequoyah Research Center (SNRC) at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, for a lecture on the history of Arkansas regarding the Trail of Tears and the Federal Removal Act. As a part of Little Rock’s La Petite Roche Tricentennial celebrations, Dr. Littlefield will discuss how Little Rock was a key geographical point during the removal of the five large tribes from the Southeast to new lands west of Arkansas as the convergent locale where major overland and water transportation routes through the state came together.
