Ultra Build-a-Thon

Need a partner as you transition your courses to Blackboard Ultra? Do you need some dedicated time, or simply like to work alongside colleagues? If so, join us for our Ultra Build-a-Thon!At this in-person event, we will utilize a work-sprint model where we share demonstrations and then allow time for hands-on building. Our Blackboard support and instructional design teams will assist you along the way.
To make the most of your time, please bring a completed course map as well as artifacts (such as videos and documents) to place within your course. Check out our internal Course Map Worksheet or you can find additional course map resources at the online Course Map Guide. You can also email eLearning-design@ualr.edu if you would like to schedule time in our lab to create an intro or lecture video.
During the Build-a-thon, you will:
Choose a structure for your course, copy materials, and add Ultra documents
Build assignments and assessments
Build discussions, announcements, and conversations
Configure your gradebook
This event is intended to start from the beginning of a course build and is for those who have completed either Ultra Academy or Ultra Teaching Essentials.
