Indexes and Databases
The library subscribes to a wide range of online databases and indexes covering many legal and non-legal subject areas. All of these resources are available throughout the law school building without using a password. These resources are also available off-campus. For remote access, you will need to enter your last name and your UALR T number at the prompt. If you have any questions about using any of these resources, please contact your liaison.
Many other non-legal electronic resources are available through the UALR Ottenheimer Library. Access these resources via Ottenheimer’s website on the Articles & Databases page. To obtain access to Ottenheimer Library resources, you must have a UALR ID card, available at UALR’s Donaghey Student Center. Your liaison can assist you in the use of these resources.
CALI
The library subscribes to CALI, a library of computer-assisted legal instruction exercises. The CALI library contains over 800 interactive lessons and tutorials in almost 40 legal subject areas. The lessons use a variety of formats and methods to teach doctrine, analysis and critical thinking skills.
CALI lessons are available on DVD or via the CALI website. Registration is required for website access. Contact Professor Melissa Serfass if you need the access code, would like a DVD or for information on CALI exercises.
Westlaw and LexisNexis
Professor Serfass assist you with Westlaw and LexisNexis access, technical issues, or training. Professor Kathryn Fitzhugh or Professor Jessie Burchfield can assist you with training on these services.
