The UA Little Rock Theatre Arts provides a safe and rigorous environment where students can take risks, broaden their imaginations, and discover their voices. Our theatre program links the best practices of the classroom to the laboratory of production, engaging with ideas through theory and application.
Grounded in knowledge and skills, critically aware of the present, and creatively inspired, our Theatre students are challenged to make meaningful contributions to their world. We offer a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and a minor in Theatre Arts.

Dear Evan Hansen

Winner of six Tony Awards®, including Best Musical, Dear Evan Hansen is a deeply moving contemporary musical about connection, belonging, and the courage to be yourself. Featuring an acclaimed score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, this powerful story explores the impact of honesty, friendship, and finding your voice.
Fringe Festival
February 25–27, 2027
Celebrate creativity at our an annual showcase of student work that was established in 2008 and made possible through the Kerry Kennedy Aspiring Playwright Endowed Fund. Featuring original works, student-directed productions, new plays, and experimental performances. This exciting festival showcases the talent and imagination of UA Little Rock’s emerging theatre artists.
Lysistrata
April 14–18, 2027
One of history’s greatest comedies, Lysistrata by Aristophanes is a witty satire about the power of unity, determination, and challenging the status quo. Filled with humor and timeless themes, this classic comedy continues to entertain audiences more than 2,000 years after it was first performed.
Admission to all Theatre Arts productions is FREE. Reservations are required.
