Welcome to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law

William H. Bowen School of Law has provided quality legal education for nearly 50 years. Bowen is today a leader in practice-ready, skills-focused learning offering innovative, hands-on learning to students at a fraction of the cost of tuition at most law schools.

Located in Arkansas’s capital city, Bowen is uniquely positioned as the only law school in Central Arkansas and the only law school in the state offering the flexibility of a part-time evening program. Its location offers students unparalleled opportunities to gain experience with government agencies and institutions, as well as with the state’s top law firms and private employers.

Bowen is dedicated to three core values — access to justice, public service, and professionalism. These core values are exemplified in theory and practice in everything we do. For example, under the guidance of a clinical faculty member, students who participate in one of Bowen’s seven legal clinics represent Arkansans in legal cases at no charge; our Public Interest Fellowship program funds student work over the summer with organizations that cannot afford to pay law clerks. These are but two examples of the many ways that Bowen students are encouraged to incorporate the school’s central values throughout their years in law school and into their careers as practicing lawyers.
