The Career Service Office is available throughout the year for one-on-one counseling sessions. Our goal is to help point you towards useful resources, review your resume, and work with you to develop a job hunt strategy. Appointments are recommended and may be made through Symplicity.
Online Alumni Job Postings
Each month, Bowen receives numerous job announcements from public and private sector employers nationwide who are looking to hire. You may access this information through Symplicity.
The Bowen Career Services Office also participates in the Intercollegiate Job Bank. The IJB username and password are available under “Announcements” at Symplicity. Hosted by career services at Brigham Young University School of Law, the IJB consists of alumni job bulletins from over 100 participating law schools nationwide. The IJB should be especially helpful for individuals conducting job searches outside Arkansas.
UALR William H. Bowen / Pulaski County Bar Law Library
The library may be used by alumni at any time. It has numerous books on job hunting, practice areas, and alternative careers.
Use of Career Services Offices at Other Law Schools
If you’ve moved away from the Little Rock area and would like access to another law school’s career resources, we’ll send a letter to that school asking for reciprocity. Although we cannot guarantee that the law school will agree to our request, if granted, their services can be helpful. Reciprocity is often unavailable during the fall recruiting season and has a limited access period. For the reciprocity policy at a particular law school, log on to http://www.nalp.org/reciprocitypolicies?s=reciprocity.
