This award is to recognize, encourage, and reward those individuals whose research or creative endeavors have been particularly successful and are so recognized locally, regionally, and nationally. The results of these efforts should have contributed to the expansion of knowledge and the quality of life, or encouraged additional research.
Xiu Ye, professor of mathematics and statistics in the College of Science and Mathematics, won the $5,000 University Faculty Excellence Award for Research sponsored by the UALR Society of Philanthropy.
