Sherrie NorwoodProfessor Sherrie C. Norwood joined the law library staff in 2014, and earned a promotion to faculty in November 2015. In her role as systems and metadata librarian, Professor Norwood’s primary focus is helping law school faculty and students, local attorneys and judges, and the general public successfully search, access and retrieve legal information and resources.

Professor Norwood is responsible for managing all the modules of the law library’s integrated library system, performing original cataloging, supervising copy-cataloging, and assigning library-specific classification and shelf listing. In addition to her role as systems and metadata librarian, she participates in the Reference Desk rotation, which provides her with valuable experience and knowledge about the information needs, cognitive processes and search behaviors of the law library’s patrons – all important considerations when cataloging, classifying and indexing legal information and resources.

Prior to joining the library staff, Professor Norwood was in private practice. She is a member of the American Library Association (ALA), the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), the Southwestern Association of Law Libraries (SWALL), the Arkansas Library Association (ArLA), the Arkansas Bar Association (ABA), and the Pulaski County Bar Association (PCBA). Professor Norwood is also a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, inducted in 2011, through the University of Arkansas at Little Rock chapter.
