Digitized Materials
Along with our manuscript and photograph collections, CAHC provides access to thousands of digitized and born-digital materials through our online catalog. Digitizing documents, photographs, and audiovisual content is an essential part of preserving and protecting the history in our care and sharing that history with the public. The bulk of these materials are items from the manuscript and photograph collections that have been digitized. Some of them come from born-digital collections (i.e., material that originated in a digital format).
Catalog SearchHow to Use the Catalog
You can search the catalog for digital material in a variety of ways. On the home page, click one of the blue links to browse digital resources by material type (ex. Documents, Photographs, Audio, etc.), or use the search bar to keyword search the entire catalog.

Once you are on a results page, you will see all the available digital material associated with that material type or search terms. You will likely see several pages of results and hundreds of individual items.
The left side of the screen provides several options for filtering the results; you can filter by collection, subject, date, creator, project, format-medium, or publisher. Applying filters to the search will narrow the results, making it easier to find what you are looking for.

Searching Tips
- All search terms must be spelled correctly. Misspellings will return no results.
- If you want to browse all digitized material, no matter the type, check the box for “Select All Collections” on the top left side of the screen. Then click “Update”
- If you know what collection you are interested in and want to see all its digital materials, type its collection number in the search bar (ex. To search for the Winthrop Rockefeller collection, search for UALR.MS.0001 or 0001)
- To view a whole finding aid, select the finding aid from the results page, click the blue “Download” button on the right side of the screen, then select “Download full finding aid.” The finding aid will open in a new tab. In this view, you can keyword search, download to your computer, or print the whole finding aid
