Telemed Visits Now Available

Health Services is excited to announce that we are now offering telemed services via the HIPAA compliant app doxy.me. Having a “virtual” visit from the comfort of your home is the best way to keep you safe while still meeting your healthcare needs. The process is simple and very easy to set up with a smartphone, tablet, or computer.

The office of Health Services is still open, but we are conducting telephone triage before any in-clinic appointments are scheduled. We are not accepting walk-ins or seeing patients with symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath.

Please call 501-569-3188 if you have any questions or want to schedule a telemed visit.

For patients with questions about whether they may have COVID-19, UAMS HealthNow offers free screenings for all Arkansans. Using a screening tool with a series of questions about symptoms, age, overall health, travel and other potential exposure to the COVID-19 virus, UAMS HealthNow healthcare professionals will guide individuals through the next steps, if any, that should be taken. To access UAMS HealthNow, go to UAMSHealth.com/healthnow and click on the screening tool. This service will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to individuals of all ages across the state of Arkansas and can be accessed from a smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer.

If you have symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, and shortness of breath) or have had contact with someone KNOWN to have COVID-19, contact the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH). ADH activated a call center to answer questions from health care providers and the public about the novel coronavirus. During normal business hours (8:00 am – 4:30 pm), urgent and non-urgent calls, please call 800-803-7847. After normal business hours, urgent calls needing immediate response, please call 501-661-2136.
