Engineering technology is a creative blend of the physical sciences, engineering knowledge, methods, and technical skills that support engineering activities. UA Little Rock offers both an associate’s and bachelor’s degree.
The Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology (ECET) provides a greater knowledge in the technical field and includes more courses in mathematics, humanities, and social science. Our graduates are prepared for graduate studies or entry level professional positions in industry that require the knowledge of the application of current industrial practices and design procedures. Students will chose technical electives to meet their career objectives. The B.S. degree prepares graduates for entry level professional positions in industry or for graduate studies. This degree is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET.
We also offer an Associate of Engineering Technology in Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology. This degree requires two years of study (64 hours) to prepare students for electronics or computer careers. Graduates can apply credit towards the B.S. degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology. This degree is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET.
