Free Mental Health First Aid Certification Course
August 4 at 8:45 am - 4:00 pm
One in five people has a mental health challenge. Through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing’s Mental Health First Aid certification course, you will learn how to recognize signs of mental health challenges, how to provide initial help, and how to guide a person toward appropriate care. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, addiction, suicide, and more.
Registration is required, and lunch will be provided. This is an all-day training, and it is appropriate for faculty, staff, administrators, and students.
This is the first time this course has been offered on campus. Future such trainings will depend on the level of interest in this session, so please plan to attend and spread the word!
