Dr. Bronwyn MacFarlane, a professor of gifted education, has been teaching at UA Little Rock for the past 13 years. Because of her extensive volunteerism with the National Association for Gifted Children, she was recognized by the NAGC in 2018 as an Early Leader. Since beginning her career at UA Little Rock, Dr. MacFarlane has served as chair or representative on more than 25 university committees including the UA Little Rock Central Arkansas Science and Engineering Fair, the UA Little Rock-eSTEM Committee, and the UA Little Rock Committee on Tenure.

In 2015, she was appointed to lead the special task force for designing the UA Little Rock eSTEM Charter School. Dr. MacFarlane has also served on over 15 national and state education committees, including as a Javits Federal Grant Competition Application Reviewer, CAEP University Site Reviewer, CAEP/SPA NAGC Program accreditation reviewer, and continues to hold several state and national leadership positions in gifted education.
