Dr. René Shroat-Lewis Honored with National Award for Leadership in Geosciences
Dr. René A. Shroat-Lewis, Associate Professor of Geology at UA Little Rock, has been recognized with the President’s Award from the Association for Women Geoscientists (AWG). This prestigious national honor is presented annually to individuals who exemplify the “three E’s” — encourage, enhance, and exchange — through their professional excellence and dedication to supporting women in the geosciences.
The award celebrates Dr. Shroat-Lewis’s outstanding leadership, mentoring, and service to the geoscience community, aligning closely with AWG’s mission to enhance the quality and level of participation of women in the field.
