Dr. René Shroat-Lewis Receives Accomplished Alumni Award from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville
Dr. René A. Shroat-Lewis, Associate Professor of Geology at UA Little Rock, has been honored with the first-ever Accomplished Alumni Award from the Department of Earth, Environment, and Planetary Sciences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville—her Ph.D. alma mater.
The Accomplished Alumni Award recognizes graduates who have achieved outstanding success in their professional careers, made meaningful contributions to their communities, and demonstrated continued support for their alma mater. Recipients of this award bring honor and distinction to the university, serving as role models and inspirations for current students and fellow alumni.
Dr. Shroat-Lewis received the award from her Ph.D. advisor, Dr. Colin Sumrall, during the department’s alumni reception.
