Study Abroad Brings Learning to Life for UA Little Rock Students

Biology and geology student Syd Joheim gained hands-on experience studying coral reefs, field samples and geological formations during a study abroad experience in the Bahamas. The trip helped her see the connections between her fields of study and sparked a new appreciation for Arkansas’ natural environment.

Geology major and Donaghey Scholar Ella Campbell expanded her studies through study abroad in Peru. The experience deepened her passion for geology and strengthened her desire to keep exploring, asking questions and understanding the world around her.
