There are numerous partnerships and programs that place university personnel in contact with government officials on a routine basis. At any given time, there can be multiple interactions happening between UA Little Rock staff or faculty and any given government official or agency.
It is important that those interactions are coordinated as much as possible so that the university is delivering a consistent message to stakeholders. If you have questions about activities that may place you or your department in an informational or advocacy role with legislators, Congressional members or staff, the governor’s office or any other elected officials, you are encouraged to contact our office. We are ready to provide help and guidance as needed.
UA Little Rock policy #204.6 governs interactions with university employees and government officials. If you have questions about the policy or need guidance on working with government offices, please contact us.
UA Board of Trustees policy #465.1 provides further guidance on political activity.
