Arkansas State – Associate General Counsel

Position Summary:

The Arkansas State University System Associate General Counsel serves as counsel for all campuses within the System. This position is based at the ASU System Office in Little Rock, Arkansas.

This is a non-classified position governed by institutional policy reporting to the System General Counsel.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Associate General Counsel drafts policies, procedures, and other guidance documents for use by all campuses, meets regularly with campus constituents to provide updates on changes in the law and to make recommendations on compliance under the supervision of general counsel, monitors and assists with state, federal and other regulatory matters applicable to higher education, and assists with litigation.

This individual also prepares and reviews contracts for use by all System campuses, and travels to ASU System campuses to meet with campus constituents.
