DiPippa publishes article on access to justice

DiPippa, John, Reginald Heber Smith and Justice and the Poor in the 21st Century, 40 Campbell L. Rev 73 (2018).

Reginald Heber Smith’s 1919 book, Justice and the Poor, showed that poor people were denied access to the courts. Smith’s book shamed the elite bar and led to the creation of the modern legal aid movement. As we near the 100th anniversary of its publication, we are no closer to equal justice than in 1919.
