Professor Cain obtained a reversal of a federal district court order dismissing a Fourth Amendment deadly force case

Mildred Crowder v. City of Manila, Attorney for the Appellant, Mildred Crowder; the appeals court reversed the trial court’s order dismissing the case, 19-1527, The United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit (March 6, 2020).

The United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit reversed a district court order dismissing a Fourth Amendment deadly force case, finding that Mildred Crowder stated a viable claim for a violation of her deceased son’s Fourth Amendment right to be free from excessive force. Professor Cain represented Mildred Crowder.
