Professor cummings invited to publish on the the University of Oxford’s Human Rights Hub

Following the horrific killing of George Floyd by former Minneapolis police office Derek Chauvin, the University of Oxford’s Human Rights Hub invited Professor cummings to publish a post on the history of anti-black policing culture in the United States. Therein, cummings traces the history of U.S. policing from southern slave patrols through today.
