Sylvan Hills High School faculty members invited Professor cummings to speak to juvenile justice students regarding childhood trauma known as Adverse Childhood Experiences. cummings described how unnecessary toxic trauma is inflicted upon African American and Latinx youth disproportionately by U.S. law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
