Distinguished Alumnus Hosts Reception in Nation’s Capital
UALR alumni and friends living in the Washington, D.C. area are invited to a holiday celebration hosted by Distinguished Alumnus Ambassador Koby Koomson ’79 and Chancellor Joel Anderson from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30. The reception will take place at the home of Ambassador Koomson and Dr. Bertha Koomson located in Bethesda, Md. Koomson represented his native Ghana as ambassador to the United States from 1997 to 2001. Earlier this year he helped establish an African Diplomatic Business and Finance Center at UALR to bring together major national business leaders from the U.S. and African leaders to discuss improving the financial infrastructure that will attract U.S. business investment in Africa. Koomson is directing the independently financed center operating in the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Business and Economic Development at UALR.
