Office of Communications Releases Magazine

The Office of Communications released its second issue of the UALR Magazine, a semiannual publication, this week with a focus on culture and how it affects a community’s commerce. The cover story, written by Dr. Linda Holzer of the UALR music faculty, introduces the connection between the arts and a city’s vibrance. The article is supported with examples of how UALR and other metropolitan universities contribute to such opportunities and offerings that attract talented individuals and lure corporate investments.
UALR Magazine is divided into sections focused on art, music, and theater and shows collaborations between the university and local arts organizations. Communications staff incorporated photo slideshows, audio excerpts, and video demonstrations to accompany the stories on the online version of the magazine. Copies of the magazine are being mailed around Central Arkansas. To receive a copy, call 501.683.7397.
