Brubeck Progeny Comes to UALR April 25

Chris Brubeck, son of jazz genius Dave Brubeck, brings his trio Triple Play to the UALR Artspree stage April 25 for a Friday evening of eclectic blues, jazz, funk, and classical music known for its flair and virtuosity. Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. concert in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall are $20 on the main floor and $17 in the balcony. Student tickets are $10 and UALR students are admitted free. Growing up in a home where impromptu jam sessions included Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, and other legends, Chris Brubeck first proved his jazz talent performing and recording with his father, playing bass, trombone, piano, guitar, and vocals. He earned international acclaim as a composer, performer, and leader of his own bands.
