Ad Campaign Lands Top Award at CASE Conference

UALR’s television advertising campaign won the Grand Award prize Monday at the 2008 CASE District IV Conference for Audio Visual Communication Television Spots. CASE, the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, held its District IV conference in Little Rock this week. The district includes colleges and universities in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mexico, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. UALR’s award recognized the University’s three-ad campaign series “Difference of Degree,” which began airing last year. The second phase of the ad campaign began last month. Runners up for the CASE award in the category of one minute or less, single or series television spot – were entries from Texas Christian University, Texas Tech University Health Science Center, Abilene Christian University, and Arkansas Tech University. “Our biggest award is the attention our University is getting in the community and region and the results from the campaign. An award from our peer institutions is icing on the cake,” said Judy Williams, director of UALR’s Office of Communications.
