Inuit Artist’s Exhibit Opens at UALR’s Sequoyah Institute
An exhibit of prints and original drawings by the Baker Lake Inuit artist, Luke Anguhadluq, is now showing at the J.W. Wiggins Native American Art Gallery at UALR’s Sequoyah National Research Center.
The gallery is located in Suite 500 in University Plaza at the south end of campus.
The Wiggins Collection includes one of the world’s largest collections of Anguhadluq’s pieces. Dr. J.W. Wiggins discussed the artist’s work at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
In addition to Anguhadluq’s work, other prints, original drawings, and carvings from the Wiggins Collection by other Inuit artists will be on exhibit in the SNRC’s reception area and working space.
