Sustainability Short Course Offered to Campus Members

UALR’s Sustainability Committee is offering members of the campus community an opportunity to participate in free “Sustainable Systems at Work” discussion classes.

The five, one-hour lunchtime classes will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, and Nov. 3, 10, 17, and 23, at a location to be announced. Participants attending all classes will receive a certificate of completion.

The course is designed to help integrate sustainability into the workplace. Topics covered include energy use, waste reduction, transportation, water conservation, food choices, and more.

Class size is limited, and enrollment will be on a first-come, first-served basis. All materials will be provided.

The “Sustainable Systems at Work” curriculum was designed by the Northwest Earth Institute and is its first course designed specifically for the workplace.
