Bring Your Fav Book to ‘Read-In’ Feb. 23

Alpha Beta Kappa, the UALR chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honor society, will host the second annual “African American Read-In” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, in the Donaghey Student Center Ledbetter Meeting Room D. The event is free and open to the public.

“This is an excellent opportunity for UALR and the community to come together and celebrate texts by African American authors,” said Caitlin Love, president of the local chapter of Sigma Tau Delta. “Attendees are invited to bring their favorite texts to share the excerpts with the group.”

Dr. Laura Barrio-Vilar, assistant professor of ethnic literature, will moderate the event.
