Bowen Welcomes New UALR Law Students
The UALR William H. Bowen School of Law will welcome a new first-year class Sunday, Aug. 19, for the beginning of a three-day new student orientation prior to the Fall 2012 academic semester.
During the annual orientation event, both part-time and full-time students entering law school will be busy. Students should arrive between 3 and 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, to check in for the evening’s events.
The new law students will first attend the Dean’s Reception, which will be held in the UALR/Pulaski County Law Library.
Other events during the first day of orientation will include lectures from Justice Annabelle Imber Tuck, retired Arkansas Supreme Court justice and the Bowen School’s Jurist in Residence. Other faculty members and administrators will speak as well. New students will also attend a sample class in constitutional law taught by Dean Emeritus John DiPippa.
The first day of orientation is open to both full-time and part-time student and their families and friends.
