Faculty to be Honored at Excellence Awards

UALR will honor its top faculty at the 2013 Faculty Excellence Awards Ceremony Friday, April 12, at the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Building. The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a ceremony in the concert hall, followed by a reception in the Bailey Alumni and Friends Center. The event is free and open to the public. The annual event celebrates the excellence of faculty in three categories – teaching, research or creative endeavors, and public service. Each UALR college and the Bowen law school nominated a faculty member, and an independent selection committee will choose three university-wide winners. The winner of the Bailey Teaching Award will receive $10,000 from the Bailey Foundation. Winners of the Faculty Excellence in Research and in Public Service will receive $5,000 awards.
