A watch party to cheer on UALR’s own idol, Spencer Lloyd, will be held from 6:45 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, in the Trojan Grill on the UALR campus.

Lloyd, 19, is a sophomore business finance major at UALR who has advanced to be named a top 30 contestant on Fox Network’s “American Idol.”

Lloyd’s Facebook fan page has grown substantially since his debut on the show, and he also seems to have the attention of the show’s judges who have said Lloyd was “going to bring something to American Idol that needs to be there.”

Lloyd has been a prominent fixture on the show since the Season 13 kick-off last month.
